- 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, oil, garam masala, cumin, coriander, turmeric, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Add chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the marinated chicken pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between pieces.
- Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for a few minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
Notes
- Serve with naan or rice for a complete meal.
- Adjust the spice level by modifying the cayenne pepper.
