Ingredients

- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into 6 equal-sized patties.
- In a skillet, brown the patties over medium heat for 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove the patties and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add mushrooms and mixed vegetables, sauté for 5 minutes.
- Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
- Return the patties to the skillet, spooning gravy over them.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle cheddar cheese on top, and bake for an additional 5 minutes until melted.
Notes
- For added flavor, use freshly minced garlic instead of garlic powder.
- Experiment with different cheeses like mozzarella or gouda for a unique taste.
- Use fresh herbs like thyme or parsley for garnish before serving.
