A simple yet delicious apple dump cake that combines the flavors of fresh apples and cake mix.
Ingredients

- 4 cups of peeled and sliced apples
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 box of yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
- 1 cup of unsalted butter (2 sticks), melted
- 1 cup of chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Mix well.
- Spread the apple mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the apples.
- Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix.
- If using, sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
- Bake in preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
- For a twist, add caramel sauce drizzled on top before serving.
