- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 cups apples, peeled and diced
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar.
- Add cold butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Pour in the buttermilk and stir until just combined.
- In another bowl, mix diced apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, and lemon juice.
- Fold the apple mixture into the biscuit dough.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times.
- Roll out to about 1-inch thick and cut into desired shapes.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- For a glaze, mix powdered sugar with milk and drizzle over biscuits.
