  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar.
  3. Add cold butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Pour in the buttermilk and stir until just combined.
  5. In another bowl, mix diced apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, and lemon juice.
  6. Fold the apple mixture into the biscuit dough.
  7. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times.
  8. Roll out to about 1-inch thick and cut into desired shapes.
  9. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
