  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Stir until well blended.
  3. Add the mashed bananas, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
