  • 4 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cubed bread and mashed bananas.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and banana mixture. Ensure all bread is soaked.
  5. If using, fold in the chopped walnuts.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted comes out clean.
