Ingredients

- 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thin
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef slices and sear until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the beef and set aside. In the same pan, add onions, garlic, and mushrooms. Sauté until softened.
- Return the beef to the pan. Add beef broth and soy sauce. Bring to a simmer.
- Mix cornstarch with a little water and stir into the sauce to thicken.
- Add the cooked noodles and toss to combine. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot, garnished with green onions if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add chili flakes.
- You can substitute chicken or tofu for the beef.
- Garnish with sesame seeds for added texture.
