- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and cayenne pepper.
- In a separate bowl, mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
- Stir in eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in dark chocolate chips.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Using a cookie scoop, form balls and roll them in powdered sugar.
- Place on a lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- For a more intense chocolate flavor, use high-quality dark chocolate cocoa powder.
- Adjust the cayenne to your spice preference.
