- 8 cups cubed bread
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 1 cup cooked and crumbled sausage
- 1 cup diced bell peppers
- 1 cup chopped spinach
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- In a greased baking dish, layer the cubed bread, cheese, sausage, bell peppers, and spinach.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered ingredients.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, omit the sausage and add more vegetables.
- You can use different types of cheese such as feta or goat cheese for varied flavor.
