Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Mix until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
- In another bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoons of dough onto lined baking sheets, spacing them evenly.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are set.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
- Experiment with adding nuts or sea salt on top before baking.
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
