Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, coriander, and chili powder. Add chicken and marinate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Heat butter in a large pan over medium heat. Add onion and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add garlic and ginger, cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add marinated chicken to the pan and cook until browned on all sides.
  5. Stir in crushed tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Reduce heat and add heavy cream. Stir well and simmer for an additional 15 minutes.
  7. Season with salt to taste. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.

  • For a spicier dish, increase the chili powder.
  • Serve with naan or rice for a complete meal.
