- 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, coriander, and chili powder. Add chicken and marinate for at least 1 hour.
- Heat butter in a large pan over medium heat. Add onion and sauté until golden brown.
- Add garlic and ginger, cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Add marinated chicken to the pan and cook until browned on all sides.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat and add heavy cream. Stir well and simmer for an additional 15 minutes.
- Season with salt to taste. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, increase the chili powder.
- Serve with naan or rice for a complete meal.
- Experiment with different herbs for garnish.
