- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup French fried onions
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 3 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the blanched green beans to the mixture, then fold in half of the cheddar cheese.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.
- Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and French fried onions.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
