Description

A fusion of a classic cheeseburger and a quesadilla, combining savory beef, melted cheese, and crispy tortillas.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/4 cup diced pickles
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, seasoning with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Drain excess fat and mix in diced onions, ketchup, and mustard; cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in pickles and half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  4. Heat a clean skillet over medium heat and place one tortilla in the pan.
  5. Spoon half of the beef mixture onto one half of the tortilla, then sprinkle with remaining cheese.
  6. Fold the tortilla over and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Repeat with the second tortilla and remaining filling.
  8. Slice the quesadillas into wedges and serve with additional pickles and condiments if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add jalapeños to the beef mixture.
