Instructions

  2. Grease a baking dish with unsalted butter.
  3. In a bowl, combine heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  4. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish.
  5. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
  6. Sprinkle half of the cheddar and Gruyere cheese over the cream.
  7. Repeat the layering with the remaining potatoes, cream, and cheese.
  8. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
  9. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  10. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  11. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
