- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
- 1 package of puff pastry (2 sheets)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup salsa
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning and salsa to the beef, stirring to combine. Remove from heat.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into rectangles.
- Place a spoonful of the beef mixture and a mix of cheddar and mozzarella cheese on one half of each rectangle.
- Fold the pastry over and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
