- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt, and cocoa powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer.
- Spread the remaining brownie batter on top.
- Top with cherry pie filling.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a more intense chocolate flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
- Experiment with different fruit toppings like raspberry or blueberry.
- Serve with whipped cream for added richness.
