- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk, warmed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add melted butter, eggs, and yeast mixture.
- Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle. Spread cherry pie filling evenly over the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 12 equal pieces.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk to create the glaze. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.

- For a richer flavor, use buttermilk instead of regular milk.
