- 1.5 lbs chicken breast, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Green onions, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
- Add chicken cubes to the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through.
- In a small saucepan, heat the remaining marinade. Mix cornstarch and water, then add to the saucepan. Cook until thickened.
- Brush the thickened sauce over the skewers before serving.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
