- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 8 tostada shells
- 1 cup refried beans
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup crumbled queso fresco
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1 avocado, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place tostada shells on a baking sheet and warm in the oven for about 5-7 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix shredded chicken with salsa, salt, and pepper.
- Spread a layer of refried beans on each tostada shell.
- Top with the chicken mixture, followed by lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and queso fresco.
- Bake for an additional 5 minutes to warm toppings.
- Garnish with avocado slices and cilantro before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in lime juice and spices before cooking.
- Consider adding jalapeños for heat.
- Use black beans instead of refried beans for a different taste.
