- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup pretzel sticks
- 1 cup candy eyes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers are soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
- Once cooled, assemble the spiders by breaking pretzel sticks into legs and inserting them into the sides of the cookies. Use candy eyes to complete the look.
