A rich and indulgent dessert combining the flavors of churros and toffee.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, water, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until well combined.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 5 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and cinnamon.
- Gradually add flour mixture to the butter-sugar mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Spread the mixture evenly onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts on top.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
- You can drizzle melted chocolate on top for added flavor.
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
