Delicious cinnamon buns made with active dry yeast.
Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened (for frosting)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Make a well in the center.
- Add melted butter, eggs, and yeast mixture to the well. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll the dough tightly from the long side and cut into 12 equal pieces.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- While baking, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla for the frosting.
- Spread frosting over the warm buns before serving.

- You can add nuts or raisins for variation.
- For a richer flavor, use brown butter.
