- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar for glaze
- 2 tablespoons milk for glaze
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon together for the filling.
- Fill each muffin cup halfway with batter, sprinkle a tablespoon of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top, then cover with more batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While muffins bake, prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Once muffins are cool, drizzle with glaze.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider incorporating chopped nuts or raisins into the filling.
- Serve with cream cheese frosting for a richer taste.
