- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, onion, garlic, eggs, salt, pepper, thyme, Worcestershire sauce, and parsley.
- Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
- Spread additional ketchup on top for glazing.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- For a different flavor, substitute ground turkey or chicken.
- Add diced bell peppers or mushrooms for extra moisture and flavor.
- Serve with mashed potatoes and green beans for a classic meal.
