- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool on the baking sheets for 2 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
- For a variation, add nuts or dried fruit.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes for a thicker cookie.
- Use a cookie scoop for uniform size.
