- 200g fettuccine
- 150g bacon, diced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 200ml heavy cream
- 50g grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced bacon and cook until crispy.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss to coat.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes.
- Substitute bacon with pancetta for a different flavor.
- Try adding seasonal vegetables for added texture and color.
