- 4 chicken thighs, skinless
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper.
- Place chicken thighs in the crock pot and pour the honey garlic mixture over them.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, remove chicken and keep warm.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
- Pour the cooking liquid into a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Add the cornstarch slurry and stir until thickened.
- Serve chicken with sauce drizzled on top and garnish with green onions.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- Serve with steamed rice or vegetables for a complete meal.
- For a deeper flavor, marinate chicken in the sauce overnight before cooking.
