Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Grease and line a 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
  3. Melt the dark chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over simmering water, stirring until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk the sugar and eggs until pale and frothy.
  5. Fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture.
  6. Sift the flour and salt over the mixture and gently fold to combine.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the edges are firm but the center is slightly soft.
  9. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
