Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Add butter and mix until crumbly.
  2. Stir in ice water until the mixture forms a ball. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. In another bowl, combine apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch.
  5. Roll out dough on a floured surface and fit into a pie pan. Fill with apple mixture.
  6. Roll out remaining dough for the top crust. Cut slits for steam and place over the filling.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown.
