  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped

  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 lemon, quartered
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 4 cups stuffing (your choice)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Pat the turkey dry and season the cavity with salt and pepper.
  3. In a bowl, combine butter, rosemary, thyme, garlic, and salt.
  4. Gently loosen the skin of the turkey and rub the herb butter mixture under the skin.
  5. Stuff the cavity with lemon, onion, and stuffing.
  6. Place the turkey on a roasting rack in a roasting pan.
  7. Pour the chicken broth into the bottom of the pan.
  8. Roast the turkey, basting every 30 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  9. Let it rest for 20 minutes before carving.
  10. Serve with your choice of sides.
