Ingredients

- 4 lbs whole turkey
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
- 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 lemon, quartered
- 1 onion, quartered
- 4 cups stuffing (your choice)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Pat the turkey dry and season the cavity with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, combine butter, rosemary, thyme, garlic, and salt.
- Gently loosen the skin of the turkey and rub the herb butter mixture under the skin.
- Stuff the cavity with lemon, onion, and stuffing.
- Place the turkey on a roasting rack in a roasting pan.
- Pour the chicken broth into the bottom of the pan.
- Roast the turkey, basting every 30 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let it rest for 20 minutes before carving.
- Serve with your choice of sides.

- Consider adding cranberries to the stuffing for a festive touch.
