- 200g dark chocolate
- 100g unsalted butter
- 4 large eggs
- 150g granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 50g all-purpose flour
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate and butter together over a pot of simmering water, stirring until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
- Add the melted chocolate mixture and vanilla extract to the egg mixture, folding gently.
- Sift the flour and salt into the mixture, folding until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased and lined baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the edges are set but the center remains soft.
- Allow to cool before slicing into squares.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use high-quality dark chocolate with at least 70% cocoa.
- Serve with fresh berries for added freshness.
- Dust with powdered sugar for an elegant finish.
