- 1 can (400g) of diced tomatoes
- 100g of fresh basil, chopped
- Salt to taste

Instructions
- Boil water in a large pot and add a generous amount of salt.
- Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until fragrant.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes and season with salt. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Drain the spaghetti and reserve a cup of pasta water.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to combine with the sauce.
- If necessary, add reserved pasta water to adjust the sauce consistency.
- Stir in chopped basil and remove from heat.
- Serve hot, garnished with Parmesan cheese.
