- 4 large croissants
- 8 oz sliced ham
- 8 oz sliced cheese (Gruyère or Swiss)
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice each croissant in half horizontally.
- Spread Dijon mustard on the inside of each croissant.
- Layer sliced ham and cheese evenly on the bottom half of each croissant.
- Cover with the top half of the croissant.
- Spread softened butter on the outside of each croissant.
- Place the sandwiches on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the croissants are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 2 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

- Experiment with different cheeses like cheddar or mozzarella.
- Add sliced tomatoes or arugula for extra flavor.
- For a crispy texture, use a panini press instead of baking.
