- 2 cups granulated sugar (400g)
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (120g)
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (100g)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped hazelnuts (150g)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (90g)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture.
- Fold in the chopped hazelnuts and chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a deeper flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
- Consider adding a pinch of espresso powder to enhance the chocolate flavor.
- Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for contrast.
