Description

Honey garlic steak bites are tender, flavorful pieces of steak coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  2. Add steak pieces to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove steak from marinade and sear in the hot skillet until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, add the remaining marinade and bring to a simmer.
  7. Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl to create a slurry, then add to the skillet.
  8. Stir until the sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.
  9. Add the steak back to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  10. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the marinade.
  • Serve over rice or alongside vegetables for a complete meal.
