Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla and almond extracts.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  7. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness.

  12. For the icing, whisk together confectioners’ sugar and milk until smooth.
