- 2 pounds Italian sausage
- 3 bell peppers, sliced (red, yellow, green)
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Brown the Italian sausages on all sides, about 5 minutes.
- Transfer sausages to the crockpot.
- Add sliced bell peppers, onion, garlic, and diced tomatoes.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper over the mixture.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once done, slice the sausages and mix with the peppers and sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.

- For a spicier dish, use hot Italian sausage.
- Serve over pasta or in hoagie rolls.
