Ingredients

  • 3 bell peppers, sliced (red, yellow, green)
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Brown the Italian sausages on all sides, about 5 minutes.
  3. Transfer sausages to the crockpot.
  4. Add sliced bell peppers, onion, garlic, and diced tomatoes.
  5. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper over the mixture.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  7. Once done, slice the sausages and mix with the peppers and sauce.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.
