Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, egg, basil, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Lay each noodle flat and spoon about 2-3 tablespoons of the cheese mixture onto each noodle.
  6. Roll the noodles tightly and place them seam-side down in the baking dish.
  7. Pour remaining marinara sauce over the rolled noodles and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
