Linguine with Garlic and Olive Oil


Ingredients

  • 100ml extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté until garlic is golden brown.
  5. Drain the pasta, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
  6. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet, tossing to combine with the garlic oil.
  7. If needed, add reserved pasta water to achieve desired sauce consistency.
  8. Season with salt and toss again.
  9. Plate the linguine, garnishing with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan.
