- 2 ribeye steaks (1.5 inches thick)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
Instructions
- Take the steaks out of the refrigerator and let them rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill or cast-iron skillet to high heat.
- Rub each steak with olive oil, then season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Place the steaks on the grill or skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
- In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic, rosemary, and thyme, cooking until fragrant.
- Once the steaks reach your desired doneness, remove them from heat and let them rest for 5 minutes.
- Drizzle the garlic herb butter over the steaks before serving.
