Description

A refreshing mango tango sorbet with a vibrant flavor.


Ingredients

  • 4 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh mint, finely chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Add diced mangoes to the saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and blend the mixture until smooth.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove any fibers.
  5. Stir in lime juice and mint if using.
  6. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  7. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  8. Transfer sorbet to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For added texture, consider folding in small mango chunks before freezing.
  • Garnish with mint leaves for presentation.
