Ingredients
- Fresh mint leaves – 1 cup
- Water – 4 cups
- Honey – 1/2 cup (adjust to taste)
- Lemon juice – 1/4 cup
- Ice cubes – as needed
Instructions
- Bring water to a boil in a saucepan.
- Add fresh mint leaves and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it steep for an additional 10 minutes.
- Strain the mixture into a bowl, discarding the mint leaves.
- Stir in honey and lemon juice until fully dissolved.
- Chill the elixir in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Serve over ice cubes in a glass.
- Garnish with a sprig of mint and a lemon slice if desired.
Notes
- For a stronger mint flavor, increase steeping time.
