  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, powdered sugar, and salt.
  3. Add cubed butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Stir in egg yolk and cold water until dough forms.
  5. Press dough into a tart pan and chill for 30 minutes.
  6. Bake the crust for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar, corn syrup, and butter.
  8. Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  9. Increase heat and boil for 5 minutes without stirring.
  10. Remove from heat and carefully stir in heavy cream, vanilla, and salt.
  11. Fold in chopped nuts.
  12. Pour caramel mixture into baked tart shell.
  13. Let it cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
