A classic dish featuring tender meatballs served over al dente pasta with a rich tomato sauce.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 jar (28 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 lb spaghetti
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, approximately 1.5 inches in diameter.
- Place meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- While meatballs are baking, cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Once meatballs are done, add them to the sauce, allowing them to simmer for 5 more minutes.
- Drain spaghetti and serve topped with meatballs and sauce.
- Garnish with additional Parmesan and parsley if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- For added flavor, sauté onions and bell peppers in the sauce.
- Experiment with different herbs like basil or oregano.
