Ingredients

- 200g of pasta (spaghetti or your choice)
- 50g of olive oil
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 200g of cherry tomatoes, halved
- 100g of fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente, following package instructions.
- While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook until they soften, about 5 minutes.
- Once the pasta is cooked, reserve some pasta water and drain the rest.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the tomatoes and garlic.
- Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a sauce.
- Stir in chopped basil and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute cherry tomatoes with sun-dried tomatoes for a different flavor profile.
- For a protein option, consider adding grilled chicken or shrimp.
- Experiment with different herbs like oregano or thyme for varied taste.
