- 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, vanilla extract, lemon juice, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well and let it sit for 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, melted butter, and milk until smooth.
- Pour the peach mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Pour the batter over the peaches, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a twist, add a splash of bourbon to the peach mixture.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for added richness.
