Instructions
- In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, cream, and butter over medium heat.
- Stir continuously until the sugar dissolves and the mixture comes to a gentle boil.
- Cook for about 5-7 minutes, reaching a soft ball stage (235°F to 240°F).
- Remove from heat and stir in pecans, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto parchment paper.
- Allow to cool and harden completely before serving.
