Description

  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 ounces pepper jack cheese, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Layer pepper jack cheese between two slices of bread, mayonnaise side out.
  4. Spread butter on the outside of the sandwich.
  5. Sprinkle garlic and onion powder on the buttered sides.
  6. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Flip the sandwich and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese melts.
  8. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for a minute.
  9. Cut in half and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
