Ingredients

- 8 slices of bread
- 2 cups of shredded provolone cheese
- 1 cup of sautéed onions
- 1 cup of sautéed bell peppers
- 1 pound of thinly sliced roast beef
- 4 tablespoons of butter
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Place the bread butter-side down in the skillet.
- Add a layer of provolone cheese on each slice.
- Layer the sautéed onions, bell peppers, and roast beef evenly over half of the slices.
- Top with another slice of bread, butter-side up.
- Cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.
- Flip the sandwiches carefully and cook until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from skillet and let rest for a minute before slicing.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add garlic powder to the butter.
- Experiment with different types of cheese like cheddar or mozzarella.
- Serve with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
