Description

A rich and indulgent philly grilled cheese sandwich featuring gooey cheese and savory fillings.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 2 cups of shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 cup of sautéed onions
  • 1 cup of sautéed bell peppers
  • 1 pound of thinly sliced roast beef
  • 4 tablespoons of butter

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place the bread butter-side down in the skillet.
  4. Add a layer of provolone cheese on each slice.
  5. Layer the sautéed onions, bell peppers, and roast beef evenly over half of the slices.
  6. Top with another slice of bread, butter-side up.
  7. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.
  8. Flip the sandwiches carefully and cook until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.
  9. Remove from skillet and let rest for a minute before slicing.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add garlic powder to the butter.
  • Experiment with different types of cheese like cheddar or mozzarella.
