Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a cloth. Let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick. Use a skull-shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes.
- On half of the skull shapes, spread pizza sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, and sprinkle with Parmesan and oregano.
- Top with the remaining skull shapes and seal the edges by pressing down with a fork.
- Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For vegetarian options, omit pepperoni and add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms.
- Try different cheeses such as cheddar or gouda for varied flavor.
- Serve with additional pizza sauce for dipping.
